JWU CAREERS: #HIREJWU

In this challenging job market, Experiential Education & Career Services and Alumni Relations have launched the HIREJWU NOW initiative, encouraging members of the JWU family to “pay it forward”. With hiring freezes, cancelled internships, and rescinded employment offers, this is the time to come together to support our recent graduates when the environment around them is so uncertain.

Whatever your position in our community -- alum, faculty, staff, or a friend of JWU -- your help is needed. You could identify employment and internship opportunities to keep this class on track even as the world around them is shifting at a rapid pace. Be a conduit for a project-based learning opportunity with your organization. Think about volunteering as a source of inspiration for members of this class and our current students.

Let’s band together in this historic moment to support the JWU Class of graduating students as they launch their professional careers. Together, we can make a difference!

Another aspect of the #HIREJWU Now initiative is a growing relationship with Eightfold’s Talent Exchange, which uses artificial intelligence to match job seekers with employers. 2,800 graduating students and alumni were emailed the opportunity to connect with companies who are currently hiring and 14% registered to be matched with relevant job openings. EE&CS and Alumni Relations will continue to send out a variety of emails campaigns, supporting graduating students and alumni through these unprecedented times.

Job Opportunities

If your organization has job and/or internship openings, please post them on HIREJWU, our job search site. Have a virtual opportunity? Post that as well.

In addition, if you know of companies that are hiring, we would greatly appreciate it if you would refer them to our site.

Alumni Mentorship

Our class of graduating students will soon be a part of the alumni network. Please consider signing up to be a mentor on JWU Alumni Connect. This provides alumni a simple way to find and connect with each other for career advice.

In addition to becoming a mentor, you can discover virtual events, gain access to valuable resources, share content and more.
